Probably one of our best decisions was going to Byron Bay because we got to meet the awesome Sam who helped us book a Whitsundays tour, Scuba Diving trip and our open skydiving ticket for great prices! Along with the free campsites which were super useful on our campervan trip up the east coast! He was always good with communication and gave us genuine advice as to how to make our trip the best possible. He is an amazing guy who’s super easy to get along with too!!! Definitely recommend Sam for all travel advice €Show Less
Sam made planning our trip up the East Coast worry and hassle free. He had so much knowledge, tips and tricks! I don’t think he knows what 4 stars even
looks like he’s that good.
Ratpack travel is run by Sam, a mancunian operating out of a small office adjacent to a hostel in Byron Bay. I cannot fault him or his company at all,
it was excellent in all respects. Unlike some of the other larger competitors, Ratpack passes potential discounts onto the customers, and whilst
there may not be a huge difference what you do get is the best customer service. I would say I’m fairly well travelled and have used a lot of tour
operators but never have I met someone who loves so much what they do. Ratpack will take you through all the options, make an itinerary and advice
you on all kinds of minute details in a very chilled environment. However, possibly the best thing about my personal experience was that, our plans
to stay aboard a boat at the whitsundays were ruined by hurricane Debbie and so we opted to go to the great barrier reef instead. Sam effectively
communicated with us and provided a refund with no qualms and organised our great barrier reef trip. Great company, great guy. Would throughly
Biggup Sam and Earl Crabbers, laid back, honest and best of all they don’t prey upon you while you’re trying to get to Wollies, best travel agents
I met in 18 months in Byron. Hope all is well boys yew!
