Discover for yourself what makes this part of Australia so special and join us on tour from Perth to Monkey Mia. Start your journey in the sunny city of Perth and travel through some of this country’s most scenic and wild landscape. Pretty coastal drives, rugged seaside cliffs, large white sand dunes, friendly dolphins and pristine beaches all await!
Start your adventure by learning to sand board (seasonal – conditions permitting!) with your new friends. These huge white dunes are not only beautiful, but they make for some great fun as you slide down atop a sand board, an activity sure to have you laughing and testing your skills. It makes for some great photo opportunities also. We then head into the strange and eerie Pinnacles Desert, where limestone structures reach up out of the golden desert sands.
Stay overnight in the sleepy seaside town of Kalbarri, where the Murchison River flows out into the Indian Ocean. This idyllic little town is the gateway to Kalbarri National Park, where you can peer through Nature’s Window and hike down into a brilliant red gorge to view ancient fossils and stunning rock formations. You can even have a go at abseiling (own expense).
We then make our way into Shark Bay, so special it is World Heritage Listed! Monkey Mia’s dolphins may be the most famous residents, but many turtles, dugongs, emus and kangaroos call this region home too! Shell Beach, made of millions of tiny white shells, is a truly unique experience and then learn about the stromatolites of Hamelin Pool.
Monkey Mia itself is sure to be a highlight! The beach here is frequented by many dolphins who come in quite close to shore making for some wonderful viewing experiences. Relax on the beach, cool off with a swim, rent a kayak (own expense) or chill-out at the café overlooking the beautiful scenery. However you choose to enjoy Monkey Mia, you will surely take home some long lasting memories! (If minimum numbers are not met for this tour an alternative solution will be arranged, which could result in a sector of this tour being operated by our coach sharing partner Red Earth Safaris.)
We then make our way back towards Perth, we’ll have you back to your Perth accommodation in the evening.
We suggest you arrange a night’s accommodation in Perth at the end of the trip, booking flights on the return date is not recommended
