Ready to visit the world’s largest sand island and explore it in the comfort of a coach that was made for sand driving? Fraser Island is one of our favourite adventure experiences and you’ll love everything that this incredible island has to offer! There’s no such thing as roads on Fraser and you’ll be swapping the rainy dual carriageways of home for the 75 mile beach highway and will be cruising along the beach and tracks through the forest, it’s an experience like no other and this will certainly get your adrenaline going. The island is super remote and very few people actually live here, there’s incredible wildlife to see, look out for the island’s resident dingos, snakes, spiders, goanas and whales (during the migration season).
This guided tour with Cool Dingo will show you the islands best locations and you’ll be shown around by a legendary experienced guide! Over the 3 days and 2 nights, you’ll see all of the islands highlights including the crystal clear Lake McKenzie, tea tree Lake Wabby, float down the natural lazy river Eli Creek, visit indian head to take in the views or chill in the bubbling champagne pools and see the historic maheno shipwreck. You’ll also get the chance to go stand up paddleboarding at Lake Birrabeen on as well as the optional air fraser scenic flight.
This tour is great if you want to experience the island but you want to have the ultimate chill experience and stay in comfy wilderness lodges with all of your linen provided and bathroom facilities. During the 3 days exploring the island you’ll have an expert guide who will provide you with entertaining and informative commentary, this coach can take the harsh terrain of Fraser Island and you’ll get great views from the panoramic windows.
All of your food is included on this tour and we’ve heard EPIC things, we’re talking bacon and eggs for breakfast, a picnic lunch and a full buffet dinner with a different theme each night! It doesn’t stop there in the evenings and you’ll be able to enjoy the onsite licensed bar and hang out with other travellers, here you’ll find a dance floor, pool tables and music!
We love this tour because you can let someone else do the work and relax in the comfort of the air conditioned coaches and experience life in one of the epic wilderness lodges!
Get picked up from your Hervey Bay accommodation and take a ferry across to the World Heritage sand island that is Fraser Island. Today you will get to have a swim in famous Lake McKenzie, visit the historical heart of the island – Central Station and the rainforest boardwalk, see ancient King Ferns at Wanggoolba Creek, visit Pile Valley’s famous Satinay trees and trek to Basin Lake which is perched high in the dunes.
Today we discover the ocean highway of 75-Mile Beach and it’s famous icon of the SS Maheno Shipwreck, swim in crystal-clear Eli Creek with ocean views, visit The Pinnacles Coloured Sands where you learn about local mythology, climb Indian Head for Fraser Island’s most spectactular views, experience the natural rock pool jacuzzis at Champagne Pools plus time for an optional joy flight with Air Fraser taking off right from the beach.

Sam from RatPack is awesome! Really friendly, really helpful – he helped us organize our whole road trip, giving us suggestions about where to stop,
where not to stop, where to camp for free, which tour companies to use – everything. He laid it all out on a calendar for us while we surfed with
his boards. Then we came back and he helped us book a few things ahead of time. Awesome company. Check em out. 10/10 would recommend.
Sam, super enthusiastic and listening, helped me organize a part of my trip along the coast. Especially since there was an activity that I absolutely wanted
to make que don’t propose because they don’t have a partner for that and instead of trying to convince me to do something else with one of their partners,
Sam has organized me and everything. No problem. Great service!
Thank you for everything Sam! I wish you and your Organisation all the Best !!
Our East coast roadie wouldn’t have been the same without Sammy’s help here. Six weeks went by too fast and I already miss our sweet sweet van. Sam
had all the best suggestions for what tours to book and what spots to visit. That itinerary you made for us made it too easy. Plus it was nice
to know we could depend on him if we came up with any questions along the way. They get it done! So glad we found ya and thanks for hanging with
us in Byron!! Yew! What legends! €
