Tour Info:

Ready to visit the world’s largest sand island and explore it by 4WD? Fraser Island is one of our favourite adventure experiences and you’ll love everything that this incredible island has to offer! There’s no such thing as roads on Fraser and you’ll be swapping the rainy dual carriageways of home for the 75 mile beach highway and will be driving along the beach and tracks through the forest, it’s an experience like no other and this will certainly get your adrenaline going. The island is super remote and very few people actually live here, there’s incredible wildlife to see, look out for the island’s resident dingos, snakes, spiders, goanas and whales (during the migration season).

Note: This option you will be staying in camping accomodation {bring a hoodie RatPackers}

Good news, this tour is RUNNING! Check out below what Nomads is doing to take care of the safety of their guests:

‘Due to the internal dimensions of a standard four wheel drive vehicle and the nature of four wheel driving itself, it is not physically possible to maintain the social distancing recommendation of 1.5 metres whilst inside the vehicles. Additional safety measures such as reduced passenger numbers, face masks, hourly vehicle sanitisation and hand sanitiser being readily available in each vehicle have been employed to mitigate any risks. However, if you don’t feel comfortable with not being able to socially distance by the full 1.5 metres, please contact your agent for details regarding cancellation and full refund.’

Please note: you will have your temperature checked at the briefing, at check in and on the second day of the tour. If the guests are showing symptoms of a fever, the tour will be forced to isolate and enact the operators COVID isolation plan.

Onto the deets…

This 4WD tag along tour will show you the islands best locations and you’ll be shown around by legendary experienced guides! You’ll see all of the islands highlights including the crystal clear Lake McKenzie, tea tree Lake Wabby, float down the natural lazy river Eli Creek, visit indian head to take in the views or chill in the bubbling champagne pools and see the historic maheno shipwreck.

This 2 day 1 night tour with Nomads is awesome, we love this tour because it is full of good vibes, a group of legendary backpackers, a true ozzie guide and you get to see the whole island! You’ll have an awesome time cruising around in the 4WD’s, these are self drive so if you’re over 21 and have had your license for more than a year you can be the driver and experience driving along the beach, and what road trip is complete without epic tunes? Be the DJ and create the ultimate island soundtrack!
