This tour from Perth - Broome and back again will have you hitting up some of the most unreal places in WA. You’ll find yourself wandering through the ultimate rivals of Stonehenge - The Pinnacles, visit the Monkey Mia Dolphins, get up close and personal with Australian Wildlife, experience the adrenaline rush of Sandboarding {a personal RatPack fave}, hit up Kalbarri National Park with the option to abseil into the gorge, see the beautiful Shark & Coral Bay. Not forgetting the absolute highlight of this trip - The Ningaloo Reef, these turquoise clear waters will have you stunned and it’s an EPIC snorkel spot and a close rival of the Great Barrier Reef in Queensland.

You’ll also have plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and enjoy an insane 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40,000 years of culture. You’ll be able to hike many of the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations including Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and stopping off at 80 mile beach aswell as a tour of Broome!

Once in Broome you’ll have the opportunity to take part in some epic activities such as ride a camel along the beach at sunset, visit chinatown or check out an open air cinema! As you venture back on the 3 day express journey back to the state’s capital of Perth travels along the coastline with a night of camping in Nanutarra and an overnight stay at accommodation in Kalbarri township.

Itinerary:

 

Day 1 - Perth to Kalbarri


Our first stop today is the the impressive Pinnacles Desert in Nambung National Park. We enjoy a fully guided tour through these amazing limestone formations and drop in at the Discovery Centre, before we have lunch by the sea. After a short stop in the town of Geraldton it’s on to Big River Ranch by Kalbarri National Park for some true blue Aussie hospitality and our overnight stay. 

Day 2 - Kalbarri to Shark Bay - Monkey Mia

Today we visit the marvels of The Murchison Gorge, Natures Window and Z-Bend in Kalbarri National Park. Here you have the option to try abseiling! Cool off with a swim in the Murchison River before we’re back on the bus and travel north to Shell Beach and Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort for our accommodation. 

Day 3 - Shark Bay to Coral Bay

This morning meet the famous Monkey Mia Dolphins and get some amazing photos. Then join any of the optional activities or just chill out on the beach or at the resort. We visit the breathing rock formations ‘Stromatolites’ before we settle in to our accommodation in Coral Bay, located right on the famous Ningaloo Reef! 

Day 4 - Coral Bay

Today is yours to enjoy the many great tours and activities Coral Bay has to offer, with special discounts available as an Aussie Wanderer passenger! Go for a stroll on the beach and check out the shark nursery, swim with the manta rays, go for a scuba dive or snorkel on the Ningaloo Reef only meters from shore (all activities at own expense). This evening we take the short drive up the peninsular to Exmouth and check in to our accommodation. 

Day 5 - Exmouth

Today we spend exploring Cape Range National park, a spectacular place of rugged limestone ranges, breathtaking deep canyons and 50km of pristine beaches. Relax on the beach or choose to go snorkelling at the stunning Turquoise Bay (snorkel hire $10), visit Vlamingh Head Lighthouse, relax at Milyearing Visitors Center and more before we return to our accommodation late afternoon. 

Day 6 - Exmouth to Karijini National Park

Up early we travel east through station country and stop at Tom Price, the highest town in Western Australia. Here we get our supplies before we head to the amazing Karijini National Park. We stay at the multi award winning Karijini Eco Retreat in Eco Safari Tents with your own veranda, quality beds, linen and hot showers! 

Day 7 & 8 - Karijini

The next 2 days give us plenty of time to explore Karijini National Park and to enjoy 2.5 billion years of evolution and 40000 years of culture. We visit and hike the gorges, swim in amazing rock pools, stand under waterfalls and explore intriguing rock formations including Hancock Gorge, Weano Gorge and its adventurous Handrail Pool, Dales Gorge, Circular Pool, Fortescue Falls, Fern Pool and more. Then late on day 8 we travel further north to Pardoo Roadhouse for our final night together as we roll out the swags for a night of camping under the stars. (tents available on request, please advise when booking). 

Day 9 - Pardoo Road House to Broome

This morning sees us arrive at 80 Mile Beach for some awesome photos! When we finally arrive in Broome we take you for a tour around town and have a picnic lunch over looking the famous Cable Beach, before we check in at our accommodation, The Kimberley Klub Backpackers. (B, L)

Day 10 & 11 - Broome

The next two days enjoy free time and all that Broome has to offer. Go for a swim at the stunning Cable Beach, explore China Town and its pearling history, watch a movie at the world’s oldest open-air cinema or ride a camel on the beach at sunset (additional cost). For lunches and dinners check out the variety of eating venues or cook your own at the hostel. 

Day 12, 13 & 14 - Broome to Perth

The three day express journey back to the state's capital Perth travels along the coastline with a night of camping in Karratha and our overnight stay at our accommodation in Kalbarri township. We return to Perth in the afternoon of day 14 and bid farewell to our group. On the 3 day express return you purchase your own lunches and dinners, we still provide breakfast.
